Even Milan – the home of Molto Sexy dressing – caught the covered-up bug: Gucci’s gone geek; Versace women wear layers and coats; Dolce & Gabbana have discovered diversity; even Roberto Cavalli dropped hemlines to the floor. Commentators began to wonder: Does sex sell fashion anymore? But not for very long.
